Welcome to Food and Impressions

I hope you can find some hints and tips that will save you some time, time that I spent doing something I like: searching, reading, crossing, selecting and finally, I hope, one day, trying.

Leong’s Legends Continues: Taiwanese Dim Sum restaurant in West End, London

Leong’s Legends Continues

Taiwanese, dim sum

London Eater, 27 Jan ’10: Gua Bao, ‘Juk’ or Congee and order some Youtiaw – Deep Fried Dough Sticks – to dip into it, Prawn and Chive Dumpling very very good, Grilled Minced Pork Buns, Xiao Long Baos Pork and Crab were quite good, Shui Mai very bad. “If you are looking to sample a range of great Taiwanese a la carte dishes, you’re better off looking elsewhere. However if you are looking for radiant dim sum with a difference, Leong’s Legend might just surprise you”.

a rather unusual chinaman, 9 Oct ’09: Siu Long Bau or Shanghai Dumplings or Soup Dumplings not bad, but not great, Spicy Aubergine simply fried in a viscous gravy, it had a strong chili kick, probably from the dried chilli's, delicious with rice, actually better on its own, Chicken with Rice wine a delicious dish, in all it's glory: a whole Crab.
